About us
Ready Set Golf caters to 2 types of golf students: Boston-area teens and industry professionals who serve both as business mentors to the youth and as fellow golf students. The appeal to integrating these two age demographics is the "buddy" mentoring system, in which each teen student is paired with a golf buddy who also serves as their business mentor.
Not only does the program bridge the generation gap in the golf industry by exposing urban youth to the sport, but it also provides ambitious students with a knowledgeable mentor, golf peer and friend. Pairs share a common interest in business while challenging and inspiring each other through learning golf together.

OUR MISSION
Ready Set Golf has the mission of eliminating the stereotype that golf is a middle-aged, suburban, male-only sport. We're making golf more accessible to the community by providing an affordable all-in-one experience that offers mentoring, equipment, coaching and practice time.
Ready Set Golf rewards its teen students with designer golf equipment throughout the program. But the superior reward is obvious - Ready Set Golf builds lasting relationships between young students and adult mentors through the development of a powerful business pairing and a genuine love for the sport of golf.
OUR STORY
RSG was founded by avid teen golfer Margaret Efthim as a venture idea in the 2012 Youth CITIES entrepreneurship competition. The venture placed as a finalist and Efthim won the "Entrepreneur of the Year" award. After a year of development, Ready Set Golf celebrated its pilot launch in July 2013.
Off the golf course, RSG founder Margaret Efthim is passionate about social entrepreneurship and remains active in Youth CITIES as Entrepreneur in Residence. She is a Junior at the University of Texas at Austin.
