Mentoring & Buddy System
How It Works
What makes Ready Set Golf truly unique is the mentoring aspect of the program. Teen students and industry professionals with real-life experience become "golf buddies" for the summer but each mentor and mentee pairing lasts beyond the program. When a student signs up, they are asked to complete a questionnaire that will determine their pairing based on goals and interests. Each "golf buddy" pairing is different - mentors provide their mentees with a personalized experience built specifically for the mentee's career goals and aspirations.
The goal of the buddy system is for pairs to develop a relationship that extends outside of Ready Set Golf. Golf is a challenging but rewarding sport, and having a golf buddy is essential to enjoying the game. The buddy system is a two-in-one opportunity to gain a partner in the game and a mentor in life.

Golf is just a bonus when you sign up as a mentor for Ready Set Golf. You have the chance to share your expertise in the professional world with a young aspiring businessperson while learning a great life skill. Because your mentee's career path is just beginning, the possibilities are endless. Each mentor gets the unique opportunity to give back to the young urban community by continuing to do what they love. It's a small gesture that goes a long way.

The mentoring and buddy system of Ready Set Golf shows two demographics thriving as fellow students while utilizing golf as a medium for a professional cause.
